⁴ No one serving as a soldier entangles himself in the activities of everyday life, so that he might please the one who enlisted him. ⁵ Also, if anyone competes as an athlete, he is not crowned victorious unless he competes according to the rules. ⁶ The hard-working farmer ought to receive the first share of the crops.
